General information about your department or program:
- History: Iğdır University Tuzluca Vocational School (Vocational School) was established in 2008 and started its education and training activities. The Department of Medical Services and Techniques was established to train qualified intermediate staff needed by the health sector. The department includes programs such as Medical Documentation and Secretarial, Medical Laboratory Techniques and Pathology Laboratory Techniques.
- Department Program Outcomes:Students who successfully complete this program: Will be able to effectively apply laboratory techniques used in the diagnosis of animal diseases. Will learn and apply basic veterinary procedures regarding animal health and care. Will gain professional working competence in veterinary clinics, animal hospitals and related laboratories. Will develop an understanding that is ethical, environmentally sensitive and considers animal welfare.

- Language of Instruction

Double Major/Minor Programs
Double Major/Minor Programs: It allows students to earn a bachelor's degree in a field they are interested in, in addition to their primary field. In this program, students can complete courses in two different fields and earn a diploma in both fields.
Minor Program: Allows students to take a certain number of courses in a field they are interested in, outside of their major. Students who complete the minor program are given an official certificate in that field; however, this does not mean a second undergraduate degree.

Exchange Programs
It offers students the opportunity to study at another university, either domestically or abroad, for a certain period of time. Career
Purpose / Objectives of the Department / Program: The Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program aims to train qualified technical personnel who can work in animal health, laboratory analysis and veterinary services. The program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills that can assist veterinarians in the protection, diagnosis and treatment processes of animal health. At the same time, it provides students with training in basic laboratory techniques, animal nutrition, care and hygiene.
